What is the Joon Loloi attendance policy?
Expectations and Guidelines for Attendance and Punctuality
Joon Loloi Attendance Policy
Our team is small but mighty! Each of you plays a critical role in the success of our team, and to truly provide the best customer experience possible, it will take us all!
With that said, we want you to have a work-life balance and enjoy your time away. As a team, we will support each other and cover for each other as needed. That is what makes us, US.
This policy ensures operational efficiency and fairness in managing attendance while maintaining excellent service delivery for our customers.
General Expectations
- You are expected to arrive to work by 8AM, fully prepared to work.
- If you need to warm up breakfast, grab coffee, or prepare for the day, that should be done prior to the start of your shift.
Definitions
Tardy: Arriving at work later than the scheduled start time.
Early Departure: Leaving work before the scheduled end time without prior approval.
Unplanned Absence: Missing a scheduled workday without prior notice or approval.
Guidelines
Being Late (Tardy)
- If you are going to be late, please text all leaders as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly and cover for you if needed.
- You are allowed 2 tardies per month with no penalty.
- If you incur more than 2 tardies per month, we will have a verbal conversation and talk through any plan of action to prevent the issue from continuing.
- Having more than 3 tardies 2 months in a row will result in a further conversation, with an enforced commitment plan.
Leaving Early
We know life happens, and you may need to leave early from time to time. We will do everything we can to support your requests but could have to decline based on business needs.
- Emergencies come up, and we will support each other when this arises!
- If there becomes a pattern, we will evaluate this case-by-case.
- Example: Emergencies always happen on Fridays, and they happen frequently.
Unplanned Time Off
Life happens, so we understand that you cannot always plan PTO. We trust that if you cannot make it to work, you have taken into consideration that your team will need to cover for you, and there is a good reason for you to miss the day.
- You can decide to use PTO or take the day off unpaid; please let your leadership team know at the time which you prefer.
- Emergency situations will be evaluated on case-by-case basis
- You are allowed 1 unplanned absence every 60 days without penalty.
- If you have more than 1 unplanned day every 60 days, it will result in a conversation and commitment plan to prevent future occurrences.
- If you have more than 2 unplanned days, two months in a row, it will result in further conversations with an enforced commitment plan.
Positive Reinforcement
If you have perfect attendance in the month, meaning ZERO late arrivals, leave earlies, or unplanned absence, you will have first choice of your schedule for the following month. If more than one person has perfect attendance, and both want the same schedule, we will do a fun game to decide the winner.
Please Note: The remaining schedules will still be rotated.
PTO
Since we are a small team, it will be important to never have more than one off daily. Please check the PTO calendar before requesting time. If there is an emergency, please see your leadership team to discuss options. PTO cannot be used for half days; however, we are happy to discuss options to avoid you taking unpaid time off. Finally, please plan accordingly for PTO and at least a 72-business hour notice for review and approval.
Policy Review
We will review this policy every 6 months to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
