Are chemicals applied to Joon Loloi rugs, and if so, what kinds?
How Joon Loloi ensures rugs are free from harmful chemicals while meeting safety standards.
The rugs and textiles produced by Joon Loloi are devoid of dangerous toxins. To ensure compliance with California Proposition 65, Joon Loloi Inc. evaluates exposure levels by conducting risk-based testing and toxicological evaluations to identify potential exposure.
Joon Loloi's rugs and textiles do not contain perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances, nor any treatments containing PFAS or PFOA substances. Additionally, Joon Loloi has developed test protocols for fluorine screening of high-risk materials. High-risk materials include stain-resistant fabrics, water repellency treatments, nonstick coatings, and other products/components designed and stated to withstand heat, grease, stains, water, and oil.
Technically, dyes are considered chemicals, and we do use dyes in many of our collections. Even our natural colorways may use latex in the back.
