What is the QC Inspection process?

Stages of the QC & Inspection Process

1. Product Development

  • Master sample is finalized and approved with the vendor

  • Product Development (PD) and QC teams must approve before production begins


2. Ongoing QC Checks

  • Inspectors verify production matches the approved master sample

  • Variances are flagged for correction before full production continues


3. International Inspections

Inspections take place across multiple regions to ensure consistency at the source:

  • Locations: China, India, Turkey, Egypt

  • Performed by: In-house inspectors

  • Inventory is reviewed 100% against key criteria:

    • Color

    • Construction

    • Serging

    • Labeling


4. Final Inspection Process

  • Conducted according to the defined sampling plan

  • Completed by both in-house teams and approved 3rd-party inspectors

  • Includes required photo documentation and inspection reports


Rug Inspection Criteria

Each rug is evaluated using the following standards:

  1. Measurements

  2. Moisture – must be ≤ 15%

  3. Pile Height

  4. Weight

  5. Skew

Measurement Tolerance:
Multiply listed inches by 0.97 and 1.03 to determine acceptable ranges.


Packaging Checks

Before shipping, inspectors confirm:

  1. Label scans

  2. All required markings

  3. Needle detection

  4. Final packaging quality and completeness
