# What are the minimum and maximum hanging heights for pendants and chandeliers?

## Understanding chain length, cord length, and installation limits for ceiling fixtures.

**Minimum hanging height:** The minimum length a light should be hung at the lowest point possible, using minimal chain.

**Maximum hanging height:** The maximum length a light can be hung using the included chain straight out of the box.

The maximum length to which the chain of the pendant/chandelier fixture can be extended. Hanging ceiling fixtures often come with adjustable chains or down rods to allow for customization.
